Job Summary
As a Certified Senior Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role as a caregiver, providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in long-term care settings. Your responsibilities will include :
- Delivering quality resident-centered nursing care and assisting with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Applying knowledge of age-appropriate care related to both physical and psychological needs, following care plans effectively.
- Supporting residents with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal care, while also obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Facilitating resident mobility through safe transferring and using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Ensuring a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and supporting with food preparation and serving.
- Documenting resident interactions and communicating changes in conditions to charge nurses.
- Contributing to a clean and welcoming environment through housekeeping and laundry services.
- Encouraging resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.
- Assisting nursing staff with procedures and participating in departmental committees when needed.
Qualifications
We value training and dedication. To be successful in this role, you should possess :
A high school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.Minimum age of 16.Prior experience as a nursing assistant in long-term care is advantageous.A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or the ability to obtain certification within four months of hiring.Completion of annual competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education credits required each year.For applicable states, registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.Benefits
