• Must meet eligibility requirements for ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) within 12 months of hire date or successful completion of a Paramedic training program within 12 months of hire date

Description :

Under supervision and direction of a mentor / preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve initial competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology services to adult and / or pediatric patient populations.

This role aids medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions, defects, and / or diseases.

Utilizing entry-level knowledge and skills, the technologist provides safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services.

Preparing patients for procedures involves correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.

The position requires communication and collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve desired clinical outcomes and service expectations.

The technologist utilizes specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional, and / or surgical procedures in accordance with established guidelines.

Conducting post-procedure reviews confirms that all required elements are documented, and that technical quality aligns with department protocols.

The role also includes transferring images and data to appropriate archival systems and preparing study findings for physician reporting.

Operator-level quality control checks and maintenance of equipment are essential responsibilities.

Participation in continuing education and professional development activities is necessary to maintain competencies.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
