Under general supervision with minimal to no assistance, set-up machines, maintain, troubleshoot, train and assist in the production of bellows to meet production and quality requirements in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1. Interpret verbal and written instructions on drawings and / or procedures and apply as they relate to manufacturing a bellow.

2. Train operators and other technicians as necessary.

3. Responsible for set-up of production and the quality of the parts being produced from that set up.

4. Must be able to proficiently disassemble, set-up, adjust and changeover equipment for production necessary to insure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

5. Assist and / or perform minor tool maintenance and repair, to include proper storage and handling.

6. Assist and / or perform minor machine maintenance and repairs as needed.

7. Maintain accurate documentation as required.

8. Run production as necessary.

9. Lead problem solving efforts as assigned.

10. Maintain good housekeeping practices and insure area of responsibility is kept clean and orderly.

11. Understand, and abide by all plant rules and regulations.

12. Participate in continuous improvement activities.

13. Successfully pass all required job specific training per the departmental training matrix.

14. Housekeeping and other duties as assigned.

15. Ability to read precision measuring instruments accurately.

16. Understand the purpose of air lifters and make adjustments.

17. Understand punch and die clearances.

18. Set and adjust transfer rails and guides.

19. Accurately check part visually and dimensionally.

20. Operate de-coilers.

21. Follow verbal and written instructions.

22. Good communication skills.

23. Understand lubricants, lube systems, refractometer readings (can be trained).

24. Must be forklift certifiable.

3. Lathes and other basic machine shop equipment

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 3 plus years manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude Demonstrated problem solving skill

PHYSICAL SKILL AND EFFORT Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surface and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders and / or stairs and perform work in confined positions. Yeager Eye Exam as applicable.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS Will be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, welding fumes and lubricants and / or oils. Must be able and willing to work with and properly use all necessary and / or required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protecting and protective clothing. Must be able to work in temperature ranges generally corresponding with, or greater than the outside ambient temperature.

EDUCATION REQUIRED High School Diploma or GED
