Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) I performs basic patient care activities, including but not limited to identifying and responding to abnormal findings, appropriately escalating to the nurse any changes related to the patient’s condition, and activities of daily living (ADL’s). The PCT I provides assistance with patient elimination, hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and progress activity and practices patient and family centered care. This role typically reports to the Unit Manager.

Licenses / Certifications : Certified in Basic Life Support issued by (AHA) American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills : No experience required. All necessary training on PCT Core Competencies will be provided by Memorial Hermann.
