Position Summary
Lifeguards play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of guests enjoying our pools and water features. This position is responsible for monitoring all aquatic areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies when necessary. Lifeguards serve as ambassadors of guest care and are expected to maintain a professional, vigilant, and courteous presence at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor all pool and water areas to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations in a professional and consistent manner.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including water rescues and first aid.
- Report all safety concerns and emergency situations to the Operations Manager and Human Resources.
- Conduct routine inspections of pool decks, water quality, and safety equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lifeguard stations and surrounding pool areas.
- Communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety drills as scheduled.
- Provide excellent customer service and support a welcoming guest experience.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent) preferred.Current CPR / AED and First Aid certifications preferred.Strong observation and communication skills.Ability to stay calm and act decisively in emergency situations.Must be physically able to perform rescues and other lifeguard duties.Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings.Must be 16 years of age to apply.Must be 21 years of age or older to apply to the 21+ side of the property.Benefits
