Human Resources Manager

A growing healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership. This is a highly visible role within a close-knit team that values collaboration, flexibility, and genuine connection across its locations.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement & Relations
- Build trust and rapport with team members at all locations through consistent, visible engagement.
- Serve as the main point of contact for HR questions, employee relations, and policy guidance.
- Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion, conducting investigations when needed.
- Partner with leadership to maintain a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage full-cycle recruiting for a small but steady volume of positions (approximately 10–15 annually).Conduct screening and initial interviews, coordinate with hiring managers, and oversee onboarding.Lead orientation sessions and ensure new employees have a smooth start.Benefits & Payroll Administration
Administer employee benefits, including health plans, retirement, and paid time off.Address employee questions regarding benefits, leave policies, and payroll.Payroll responsibilities will transition to this role after a period of trust and training.Compliance & Policy Management
Maintain employee records in compliance with all applicable laws and internal policies.Update and improve employee handbook, policies, and procedures as needed.Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations.Performance & Development
Support managers in performance management, reviews, and employee development planning.Coordinate engagement activities and assist with recognition or wellness initiatives.Facilitate employee feedback sessions and identify opportunities to strengthen culture and retention.HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
Lead or participate in HR-related projects such as handbook revisions, engagement initiatives, and process improvements.Collaborate with leadership on strategic priorities, providing insight and recommendations based on workforce trends.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field — or equivalent experience.3+ years of HR generalist or management experience.Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must be approachable and people-oriented.Proficiency with HRIS systemsExperience within healthcare or other professional services industries preferred.SHRM or HRCI certification a plus.What They’re Looking For

100% onsite — consistent in-person presence is critical for success in this role.Limited travel between local sites to maintain visibility and relationships.Reports directly to the Executive Director; this is a department of one with strong leadership support and autonomy.Compensation
Base Salary : $1 00,000–$115,000 (up to $120,000 for exceptional experience)Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plan.Generous PTO and flexible scheduling for occasional offsite needs.
