Seasonal Retail Supervisor
The starting pay range for this position begins at $21.06 / hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Please note that this is a seasonal position with an expected end date of January 2026. However, based on performance and business needs, there may be an opportunity to be considered for a more permanent role at the end of the season, if one is available.
Schedules may vary; open availability, including evenings and weekends, is required for this position.
The Seasonal Retail Supervisor sets the tone for the store and the team and helps bring our gracious hospitality to life for our guests. They are responsible for driving profitable sales growth through all aspects of the store including guest service, store operations, visual merchandising, and talent development. They are responsible for supporting the execution of the store strategy to achieve performance goals. Through collaboration with the Sr. Retail Manager and / or Assistant Manager, they will teach and coach behaviors to Leads and Sales Associates to cultivate a high performing team to deliver a best-in-class experience to our guests.
Essential Job Duties :
- Models, teaches, and promotes the Gracious Hospitality / guest service principles and standards, offering a consistent guest experience.
- Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team and themselves accountable for achieving all operational, performance, and behavior standards.
- Performs and oversees basic operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, opening and closing duties, time sheet review and payroll accuracy documents, and merchandise flow processes.
- Administers all operational processes including inventory receipt / transfers, daily replenishment of floor merchandise levels, and execution and preparation of physical inventories.
- Ensures visual presentation, product stock levels, organization, and facility maintenance are representative of Biltmore's standards.
- Develops a high-performance culture, motivating sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.
- Supports, implements, and provides follow-up for all on-boarding and training programs.
- Assesses and coaches store team on performance, including writing annual performance appraisals, and resolves human resources issues in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent2+ years of retail management experience preferredMust be 18 years of age or olderExcellent communication, verbal, and written skillsAble to learn or adapt to technology provided by the companyProven excellent guest service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales and leadershipStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership qualities, training, and team building skillsKnowledge of administrative aspects of store operationsAble to communicate with guests and staffRegular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is requiredProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; quickly learns Biltmore's POS system, protocols, products / services.Physical Requirements :
Travel in personal vehicle between various Retail locations on the Estate may be based on assignment.
