Job Description

The Communications and Engagement Specialist is in charge of making and carrying out communication plans that help the organisation be more visible, get stakeholders involved, and reach its goals. This job includes managing communications inside and outside the company, writing captivating content, planning public relations and outreach campaigns, and building strong relationships with important audiences. The best candidate will have excellent writing, project management, and people skills, as well as a track record of getting people from different backgrounds to work together.

Key Responsibilities :

Create, put into action, and assess comprehensive communication and engagement plans that are in line with the organization's goals.

Write, edit, and share captivating content for digital platforms, press releases, newsletters, reports, and marketing materials.

Oversee the company's social media presence by making content, scheduling posts, keeping an eye on things, and analysing the data.

Manage media relations by writing press releases, getting to know journalists, and answering questions from the media.

Plan and carry out events, public forums, and outreach programs to get people involved in your organization's programs and activities.

Build and maintain relationships with people inside and outside the organisation, such as staff, partners, community members, and the media.

Monitor, analyse, and report on communication and engagement metrics to assist with strategy and decision-making.

Provide advice and training on how to communicate effectively and attract people in a positive manner.

Stay up to date on the best practices in your field, new technologies, and trends in public engagement and communications.

Do other tasks that are related to your job as needed.

Requirements :

A bachelor's degree in a field related to communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a similar field.

At least two to four years of relevant work experience in public relations, communications, or community engagement.

Great skills in writing and speaking.

Strong skills with digital communication tools, such as content management systems, social media management platforms, and design tools like Hootsuite, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Have planned events and worked with stakeholders before.

Ability to look at communication metrics and make suggestions based on data.

Showed that they could manage projects and keep things organised.

Ability to work quickly and alone or with others.

Very professional, creative, and flexible.

Pay per hour : $28.00 to $42.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
