American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience, including ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position based in a Level I trauma, acute care, Magnet hospitalWork in a dedicated cardiac cath lab performing diagnostic and interventional proceduresMiddle-aged and older adult patient population3x12 hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PMOn-call coverage required as neededMust be available to work 2-3 weekends per contract and 2 out of 3 major holidaysNo floating outside the assigned unitUses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience requiredResponsibilities include conducting cardiac cath lab procedures, equipment setup, procedural responsibilities, and infection control complianceMust demonstrate competency in age-specific care for middle-aged and older adultsScrubs are providedCandidates must not have been a perm or PRN employee at the facility within the past 12 monthsMaximum of 5 days RTO auto-approved; additional time off requires approvalParking permit is provided at no cost and arranged during orientationCompletion of onboarding modules required on first day and annually thereafterCandidates may be considered if first-time travelers\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1 year recent experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath labCurrent IL license required if applicableActive BLS, ACLS, ARRT, and RCIS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)Experience with cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement / removal, Rotablader athrectomy, and scrub proceduresAbility to set up equipment, recognize life-threatening arrhythmias, use isolation precautions, and maintain sterile techniqueExperience with Cerner EMR requiredProficiency in adult cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures\n Benefits\n
