How you will make an impact :

As a Mechanical Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing efficiency and equipment uptime. You'll develop a deep understanding of our machinery and facilities, enabling you to implement effective predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other teams, you'll ensure that mechanical maintenance personnel are well-prepared and that work is executed safely and efficiently. Your ability to foster strong relationships across departments will be key to solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement.

Plan daily activities of the mechanical maintenance team in coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor.

Create and distribute daily work schedules based on work order backlog and team meetings.

Maximize tool time and workflow by identifying all components needed for planned work.

Procure and provide parts, tools, and documentation for planned maintenance events.

Improve the Preventive Maintenance Program by identifying best practices and updating schedules.

Collaborate with manufacturing to address operational concerns and maintenance needs.

Strategize with engineers on future projects and support implementation efforts.

Allocate resources to respond effectively to emergency breakdowns and engineering requests.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role :

Required :

High School Diploma with minimum 8 years' experience in support services or production.

5+ years' experience in Paper or Paper-related industry.

5+ years of relevant mechanical experience in paper or related industry or service.

Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, JD Edwards, MS Word, MS Excel); proficiency in JDE or similar CMMS software.

Effective communication skills across all levels, both written and verbal.

Ability to lead maintenance personnel and prioritize workloads effectively.
