Job Summary
The Manufacturing & Assembly Leader plays a mission-critical role at CAREX, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of our medical workstation units. This leader will oversee the full physical lifecycle of the productfrom component assembly and testing to storage, fulfillment, and shipping. Additionally, this position is responsible for warranty and repair workflows, ensuring excellent post-sale service and operational accountability.
With direct ownership of build throughput, product quality, and readiness, this individual is essential in maintaining alignment between material availability, customer demand, and service commitments. This position reports directly to the COO and partners cross-functionally with procurement, quality, engineering, logistics, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the end-to-end assembly process for medical workstationsLead product testing, validation, and quality assurance activitiesManage storage, inventory readiness, and final packaging of units for shipmentCoordinate outbound shipping and logistics in alignment with fulfillment timelinesOversee the warranty and repair process, including diagnostics, part replacements, and service trackingMaintain accurate documentation across assembly records, service history, and shipping logsSupport production forecasting, labor planning, and efficiency optimizationFoster a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in alignment with regulatory and internal standardsIdentify process improvements to scale manufacturing output and reduce defects or delaysSuccess in This Role Looks Like

Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production leadership, or assembly operations (medical device / electronics preferred)Experience with quality systems, validation protocols, and service repair programsProven ability to lead production teams and improve processesFamiliarity with ERP systems and inventory management toolsAbility to interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and test proceduresBachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)Working and Physical Conditions
Work is performed in a production and assembly setting with regular use of tools and testing equipment.Requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Exposure to moderate noise, temperature changes, and occasional use of PPE.Includes desk-based tasks for documentation and inventory tracking.May involve occasional travel between facilities.Must maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace per OSHA and internal standards.
