As a team leader, you will motivate and coach your team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences while optimizing sales. You'll lead by providing 'in the moment' coaching and training on best practices, with ongoing feedback. Supporting colleague experience, you'll engage sales associates in your team with an emphasis on recognition, communication, and wellbeing.

Daily, you'll collaborate with the store management team to support the running of the store and develop a high-performing retail team. Your key responsibilities include :

  • Managing an allocated section of a department; supporting colleagues to create inspiring displays and managing daily task allocation to keep your team engaged.
  • Helping other managers with the day-to-day running of the store.
  • Assisting with recruitment, on-boarding, and development of sales associates while supporting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Managing cash lanes and fitting room areas as needed.
  • Helping with customer feedback and complaints.
  • Managing stock file accuracy and driving improved availability in-store with a consistent focus on size and option control to meet customer demand.
  • Managing pricing in line with company policies. Monitoring pricing for accuracy, checking markdowns are applied, and displaying POS accordingly.

What you'll bring :

As a bold team player, you'll oversee a team of sales associates and report directly to the department manager. Here's what we need from you :

  • Excellent people skills to serve customers, lead the team, and build credible working relationships with all store colleagues.
  • Strong service focus with experience of delivering excellent customer experiences while maintaining high store standards.
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of local selling patterns.
  • Ability to guide and support a team to achieve results.
  • You are nimble and adaptable, being able to flex your plans and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good planning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working within agreed timescales.
  • Experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property, and premises by securing cash, stock, and property. Keyholder responsibility including availability for emergency call-outs.
  • Ability to effectively manage difficult situations and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Position holder must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English to provide instruction, coaching, corrective action, safety instructions, and lead teams as a manager daily and in emergencies.
