About the Role :

The CBRF Resident Assistant plays a critical role in providing compassionate and attentive care to residents within a Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF). This position is responsible for supporting the daily living activities of residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a respectful and dignified manner. The Resident Assistant collaborates closely with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to create a supportive environment that promotes independence and quality of life. This role requires vigilance in monitoring residents’ health status and promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Ultimately, the Resident Assistant contributes to fostering a positive, safe, and nurturing community atmosphere within the facility.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Completion of state-required certification for CBRF Resident Assistants or active CNA license.
• Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and resident safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Physical ability to assist residents with mobility and personal care tasks.
• Be able to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs

After the fifteen hours of training, resident assistants will have to complete yearly eight hours of training to keep their position at The Meadows of Mount Pleasant.
