The Director of Network Optimization will oversee the strategic management of the company's asset network, focusing on optimizing transportation efficiency, reducing empty miles, and improving overall asset utilization. This role requires previous experience in transportation, brokerage or logistics network optimization, with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing assets in our network to maximize revenue and profitability. They will oversee the Asset Optimization team with the focus of ensuring the network runs efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities :

• Asset Optimization : Lead the strategic optimization of the company's trailer network, ensuring maximum efficiency in utilization, reducing empty miles, and improving overall performance.
• Capacity & Load Planning : Work to create and optimize round-trip loads across multiple customers, lanes, and carriers, ensuring that all capacity is utilized efficiently and that empty move costs are minimized.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives : Focus on identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs, particularly related to empty miles and inefficient moves, while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams : Partner with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Production, and Sales to ensure network optimization strategies align with broader company goals, customer needs, and operational capacity.
• Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement : Use data-driven insights to evaluate network efficiency and implement continuous improvement processes. Develop and report on metrics that measure capacity, empty miles, and cost savings.
• Strategy Implementation : Develop and implement optimization strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term goals for reducing empty miles, improving efficiency, and optimizing carrier performance.
• Stakeholder Communication & Reporting : Communicate regularly with both internal and external stakeholders to report on network performance, optimization efforts, and cost-saving initiatives. Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with internal teams and carriers to ensure mutual goals are met.
• Process & Technology Improvement : Regularly assess and refine processes and systems for network optimization, leveraging technology and data tools to streamline operations and improve performance.
