Job Summary :

The Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Auto Brakes and Double Folders to bend, shape, or form metal and other materials according to blueprints and specifications. This role plays a crucial part in the fabrication process by ensuring accurate and high-quality bending of materials. This is a second shift position working from 2 : 00 PM 10 : 30 PM.

Key Responsibilities :

• Set up and operate machines (manual, hydraulic, or CNC) to perform sheet metal bending.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and material specifications.
• Select appropriate tools, dyes, and machine settings for each job.
• Measure and inspect finished pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using calipers, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to correct issues and maintain quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with other team members in the fabrication and production departments.
