About The Position

Job Title : Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 10 hours (07 : 00 - 17 : 30)

Experience : Minimum years of experience required will be determined

License : Valid Nursing License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CGRN preferred

Must-Have :

• Experience in an endoscopy unit
• Patient care experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in Epic charting system

Description :

Looking for November starts only.

Required certifications include ACLS and BLS.

Minimum years of experience will be determined.

Unit accepts first-time travelers.

Float may be required to an ambulatory surgery center if needed.

No weekends are scheduled.

Days off per week will vary and are not set.

Self-scheduling is utilized but depends on unit needs.

Orientation will occur in admissions and recovery.

Travelers will not orient to procedure rooms.

Locals are accepted.

$15 rate reduction applies to travelers living within 50 miles.

COVID-19 vaccine is required with medical or religious exemptions only.

Flu vaccine is also required with medical or religious exemptions only.

Previous staffing experience with a patient ratio is preferred.

Daily census is approximately 34 patients.

This unit consists of 17 beds between admitting and recovery.

There are four procedure rooms, three full-functioning and one fluoroscopy room.

Two rooms are equipped with anesthesia machines for general anesthesia cases.

One room is designated as a negative pressure room for safety.

Direct access to the operating room is available in case of emergencies.

Specialty procedures include esophageal manometry, endoscopic ultrasound, and enteral stenting.

Outpatient procedures are scheduled from 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM.

Inpatient cases are done at the end of the day or if cancellations occur.

Special equipment includes ERBE electric coagulation instruments and Steris reprocessing machines.

Interpreter iPads are also available for communication assistance.
