Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

HIGHLIGHTS :

  • Required : 2yrs exp, ACLS, BLS, and MI license
  • Preferred : PALS
  • Travel Experience Required : Yes
  • Float to MS / Tele & IMC required - Possible ED float
  • First to float to inpatient units
  • EOW
  • 36HPW, 12hr Nights 1900-0730
  • 13 weeks
  • Orientation Hours : 24
  • Pre-Approved Time Off : one

    • ADDITIONAL DETAILS :

  • COVID-19 Vaccine : Not Required
  • Flu Vaccine : Required - Medical / Religious Exemptions Only
  • SSN & DOB Required at time of submittal
  • If multiple holidays occur during assignment, facility will only accept 1 holiday RTO request
  • Labs and DS appt must be completed within 48 hours of signing
  • Background initiation, BID, CCAP, and WI caregiver are to be completed and uploaded into Lotus within 48 hours
  • 2 references required - 1 must be from a supervisor
  • Fingerprinting is required for MI placements
  • AHA certifications are required to be completed prior to start

    • MORE INFORMATION :

  • Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units
  • ICU & IMC patients - ICU nurses monitor tele for the hospital
  • Dickinson utilizes Paragon / Allscripts for acute care and T-System for the Emergency Department
  • Modified Time : 10 / 27 / 2025 12 : 00 : 00 AM
  • Number of Beds : 7
  • Patient Age Groups : Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
  • Interdisciplinary Support : Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary
  • Modules are billable, up to 8 hours any additional time required outside of the 8 hours, is billed at a lower rate
  • Modules are completed during orientation
  • Modules are recorded via Kronos
  • Skills : Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion / Removal, Assist with management of BiPAP, Assist with management of CPAP, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care / management, Chronic / Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV paralytics / Neuromuscular blockade, Continuous IV sedation, CVA / Acute Stroke management, Emergency Medications, GI surgery, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Hypothermia protocol / Arctic Sun, Infection Prevention, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions / Use of PPE, IV insulin protocols, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure, Obtain 12 lead EKG / ECG
  • , Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Procedural Sedation Administration, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Surgical Wounds with drains / Wound Vac, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, Ventilator Management
