Job Summary :

Under direct supervision, the Production Equipment Specialist is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of the Production Equipment Resource Center for the School of Communication. Responsibilities include circulating production equipment, managing financial processes, maintaining inventory, and overseeing student employees.

Specific Responsibilities :

• Operate WebCheckout for tracking equipment across multiple campuses. Maintain inventory, barcode resources, and track checkouts.
• Handle weekly shipments to the film lab. Manage returns and deliveries
• Documentation & Policy, Procedures and Compliance. Updating policies and procedures.
• Conducting regular functionality checks. Scheduling repairs Evaluate repair and replacement needs. Schedule repairs, primarily between sessions.
• Hire and train new student workers. Providing guidance on WebCheckout usage. Manage wage increases, terminations, and timekeeping, Schedule students in checkout centers.
• Identify and price faculty equipment requests. Place orders, update budget spreadsheets. Generating invoices for equipment usage. Billing for damages and tracking payments. Handling studio and equipment deposits.
• Order equipment and office supplies. Manage vendor relationships for demos and deals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Target hiring range for this position will be between $27.06-$29.81 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
