About The Position

An ongoing Emergency Medicine locum opportunity is available at a busy critical access hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota . The schedule offers flexibility with a 7 on / 7 off rotation , supported by APPs during peak hours. Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage are included.

🩺 Job Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care across all age groups

Manage 1.5 patients per hour on average

Perform procedures including intubations, chest tubes, central lines, critical care, airway management, OB / GYN and deliveries, and resuscitation for adults & pediatrics

Collaborate with mid-level providers (10a–10p daily support)

Utilize EMR system (Meditech) effectively

Job Requirements

Board Certified ABEM ONLY (Required)

Active ND license or IMLC (preferred)

DEA registration (Required)

ATLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (Required)

Minimum 250 case logs in the last year

🕒 Working Hours

12-hour shifts (2 providers per 24 hrs)

Schedule : 7 on / 7 off rotation

Orientation : Half hourly rate after 8 hours

Ongoing coverage — no gaps

⚡ Skills

Strong procedural competency (airway management, critical care, OB / GYN emergencies)

Ability to handle high-acuity cases in a critical access setting

Team collaboration with support staff and APPs
