An Emergency Medicine physician is needed for a locums position in a small southeastern North Carolina town set in the coastal plains. The emergency department handles approximately 32,000 annual visits. Shifts are scheduled with one physician covering 7P-7A and another covering 7P-7A, along with two mid-level providers : a PA working 9A-9P and another from 12P-12A. Physicians will supervise the mid-level providers during their shifts. The average number of shifts per month needed is 6.Hospital . Flexible schedule. Competitive . Annual ED volume : 32,000 visits. Shift schedule : 1 physician covering 7P-7A, 1 night physician 7P-7A, Mid-level PA 9A-9P and 12P-12A. Average of 6 shifts / month needed. 2 MDs and 2 PAs on the floor per 24-hour shift. Supervising PA / NPs required. Meditech 6.1 EMR. Competitive hourly rate.
