What You Will Do : Business Services :
Serve as a liaison between developers, design professionals, and city departments to navigate planning and permitting processes.
- Provide hands-on guidance for zoning, permitting, and compliance from initial construction to project completion.
- Monitor multiple projects, ensuring milestones are met, and troubleshoot issues to maintain schedules.
- Conduct meetings at City Hall and development sites with architects, clients, construction contractors, engineers and City staff.
- Collaborate with City of Tulsa departments to ensure transparent, predictable development processes and document service requests in the CRM system to inform future improvements.
Outreach & Education :
Conduct presentations and lead outreach efforts to build awareness of development programs, codes, and services.
Organize initiatives like the quarterly newsletter, Developer's Roundtable meetings, and updates for online platforms.Develop training materials and deliver workshops to empower developers with knowledge on entitlements, permitting, and compliance.Special Projects :
Analyze major development constraints and guide strategies for securing funding and addressing infrastructure needs.
You'll Know You're a Good Fit for This Position If You Have :
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (master's degree preferred) and three or more years of experience in project or program management or a related role.Expertise in Tulsa Development Services, Planning, and Public Works processes.Understanding of best practices in public policy supporting economic developmentStrong project and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to building relationships with stakeholders.A valid Driver's License and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.Take the next step to become to the go-to expert in helping Tulsa businesses thrive - apply today!
