Medical Delivery Driver (Long-Distance, On-Demand)

About the Role

Our company is seeking independent medical delivery drivers to transport critical medical products over long distances. This is a 1099 contractor position best suited for drivers who enjoy the open road, have flexible availability, and own a qualifying vehicle.

This is not an hourly job - drivers are paid by the mile when transporting critical medical product. You'll be an essential part of a logistics network that ensures timely delivery of life-saving medical equipment.

Compensation :

$0.70–$1.00 per loaded mile

(Rate depends on vehicle type - larger vehicles earn more)

$20 flat rate for deliveries under 20 miles

Additional compensation for wait time and deliveries occurring on a holiday

Note : Only loaded miles are paid (not paid when driving empty)

Schedule :

On-Demand / As-Needed (Not a fixed route or shift)

Product runs can occur anytime between 7 : 00 AM – 2 : 00 AM

Must be responsive and available when called upon

Most deliveries are 40–250 miles one way

Requirements :

Must live in or near Austin, TX

Must use your own vehicle

Minimum vehicle size accepted is a full-size SUV or pickup truck with a camper shell, tailgate cover, or trailer required

Cargo vans and larger vehicles are paid at a higher rate.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Must own a reliable smartphone with text, call, and GPS capabilities

Able to track miles and communicate via apps

Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
