Posted : Oct 22, 2025\n\nAPPLY\n\nNursing Lab Specialist (PT)\n\nWaubonsee Community College - Sugar Grove , IL\n\nbusiness_center Part-time\n\nSalary : $46.25 - $46.25 Hourly\n\nApplication Deadline : Nov 3, 2025\n\nEducation\n\nReporting to the Director of Nursing and in collaboration with all nursing faculty, the Nursing Lab Specialist is responsible for supporting students through the organizing of learning experiences and operation of the nursing lab, including the evaluation of competencies of clinical skills that nursing students must demonstrate and maintain the lab in a safe, comfortable, inclusive, and working environment. In addition, this position will be responsible for maintaining electronic files for department and for students.\n\nPrepare necessary equipment and supplies to correspond with scheduled lab activities. This includes the use of a variety of patient care equipment and supplies and use of computer-based instruction tools and programs.\n\nProvide skills evaluation to determine competency and serve as a resource person for nursing students during skill practice and provide demonstration as needed.\n\nAssist with the faculty and Director of Nursing with the preparation, and delivery of simulation activities with low and high-fidelity manikins that may require lifting of manikins and equipment.\n\nProvide input for procuring nursing instructional equipment and materials necessary for the skills laboratory in conjunction with nursing faculty and the Director of Nursing.\n\nEstablish and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and educational materials used in the Nursing Lab. Ensure the availability of properly functioning equipment and supplies; Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained and functioning in relation to manufacturer recommendations.\n\nCommunicate and collaborate with all faculty and Director of Nursing regarding student needs and progress in the lab.\n\nMaintain nursing lab electronic records and documentation of skills completed by students and support materials to ensure student success.\n\nSupport and enforce the policies of the College and procedures of the nursing program, including the faculty expectations and course outcomes.\n\nQualifications\n\nMaster's Degree in Nursing required.\n\nTwo years experience in clinical nursing practice.\n\nExperience working direct care in the clinical nursing practice within the last three years.\n\nSimulation experience with set-up, running, and clean-up.\n\nAbility to prepare and organize a wide variety of nursing laboratory equipment and demonstrate nursing procedures.\n\nCurrent Illinois Nursing license.\n\nGood communication skills.\n\nAbility to multitask between students with a variety of learning styles and varying skills testing.\n\nAbility to work independently and follow directions.\n\nShare\n\nShare\n\nShare\n\nShare\n\nemail Share
