Travel LVN – School Nurse (Psych Setting)

Location : Adair, IA

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Nights – 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM (Weekends and holidays as assigned)

A facility in Adair, IA is seeking a Travel Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – School Nurse to support an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility serving adults 18+.

Position Details :

12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), weekends and holidays as assigned

50-bed facility (20 female / 30 male)

Nurse-to-patient ratio : 1 nurse on nights

2–3 BHAs (techs) on shift from 7p–11p; 1 tech on shift 11p–7a

EMR : HCS

Voluntary patients – no restraints

Admin and doctor on call at all times (no on-site security)

Visiting hours : Sundays 1–4 PM

Orientation : 2–3 days of 12-hour training shifts

Requirements : Active LVN license

BLS and CPI certifications required

Minimum 12 months inpatient rehab experience with CIWA and COWS

Ability to perform CIWA / COWS assessments, UAs, and maintain firm but empathetic boundaries

Preferred :

Prior psychiatric or behavioral health experience
