Job Summary
As a Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering distribution power systems and infrastructure within AEP Ohio. The scope of the position includes oversight and engineering of all electric power system facilities from the distribution substation to the customer's electric meter. This work may include load flow analysis, coordination studies, circuit reliability strategy, regulatory reporting, customer complaints, storm assessment, distribution infrastructure design, power quality investigation, distribution automation schemes, and additional duties or assignments as directed.

Engineering Technologist Associate (Grade 05) $75,000 – $81,000
This is an entry level position for new graduates with a bachelor's degree in engineering technology in a program accredited by ABET.
Preferred qualifications : Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (ABET) or engineering degrees. Management level may waive the non-ABET requirement if necessary.
Engineer Associate (Grade 05) $75,000 – $81,000
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET) and encourages FE examination preparation.
Engineer Technologist (Grade 06) $80,000 – $85,000 Experience
2+ years related experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (ABET).
Acceptable alternative : Bachelor's in engineering technology (non-ABET) + master's or PhD from an ABET-accredited program.
Similar patterns for grades 07, 08, and Senior grades follow the same educational and experience requirements, with salary ranges accordingly.
