Position : Part-Time Paraprofessional (Classroom / Playground) – Building Substitute

Location : Harrisburg, PA 17109

Compensation : $100 per day

Schedule : Part-Time

About the Role :

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional to support both classroom and playground supervision , with flexibility to serve as a Building Substitute as needed. This position plays a critical role in supporting the educational and safety needs of students in both elementary and middle school settings.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree

Ability to read, understand, and interpret instructions

Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Experience working with elementary and middle school students

Firm and consistent approach to discipline

Flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of the school

Willingness to collaborate with other staff members

Experience operating office machines (preferred)

Strong record of satisfactory performance and attendance

First Aid / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it)

Experience working with computers (preferred)

PA Teacher Certification (preferred)

Job Expectations :

Assist in the classroom, main office, or on the playground as needed

Support teachers with tasks such as grading papers, working with small groups, assisting with classroom projects, typing, duplicating materials, etc.

Monitor student conduct on the playground during recess, in all types of weather

Serve as the Building Substitute when needed
