American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Chamberlain, South Dakota.\nJob Description & Requirements Specialty : ED - Emergency Department Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel\n\nJob Description\n\nAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to work in an Emergency Room / Med Surg unit with rotating shifts, requiring a compact or SD RN license and at least 2 years of experience.\nResponsibilities Position is in a Critical Access Hospital setting across both ER and Med Surg units Care for both emergency and med / surg patient populations with up to 25 beds Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 3 to 4 on Med Surg, depending on census and acuity Hands-on ER and Med Surg nursing with up to 5 patients at a time Uses Epic EMR (Epic experience provided in orientation if needed) Utilizes Sanford One Charge and Pyxis medication systems Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week Required to work every other weekend and holiday Up to three on-call shifts per 13-week contract Will float between ER and Med Surg Responsibilities include providing direct patient care in both emergency and med / surg settings Must be able to function independently and handle varied acuity Training includes Epic computer training, 1 day of ER training, and 1 day of Med Surg training Dress code requires navy scrubs with no logos; white may be worn underneath or with a lab coat Applicants who have previously worked for Sanford Health must have at least a 6-month gap from their previous assignment Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles are considered local and may receive a different pay rate All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility Holiday coverage is required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Active SD or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of RN experience At least 6 months of Med Surg and ER experience within the past year Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required NRP certification required (can be obtained onsite with approval) TNCC certification preferred Prior experience working with Epic charting system is a plus Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts\n\nAmerican Traveler Job ID #P- .
