Special Police Shift Supervisor

Job Description :

As a Shift Supervisor at our government facility, you will provide law enforcement-level security while ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors, supporting government operations.

After hours and weekends required

$36.04 / Hour

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.

Enforce applicable laws, policies, and security procedures.

Manage access control, identification checks, and visitor screenings.

Coordinate with government personnel and local law enforcement as required.

Prepare accurate incident and daily activity reports.

Ensure that contract-required training and screening elements for security personnel have been met.

Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his / her shift.

Perform other operations and related functions (e.g., review and maintain incident reports, assist in preparation of security surveys and post orders).

Respond to client requests.

Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.

Provide directions and instructions to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties.

Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management

Make recommendations for physical security surveys and post orders.

Make recommendations concerning disciplinary action / commendation decisions pertaining to security personnel.

Minimum Qualifications :

Must be a U.S. citizen.

At least 21 years of age.

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Successful completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) and passed the BLET state exam, and a valid law enforcement officer license.

Successful completion of the employing agency's in-service firearms training program.

No felony convictions or certain misdemeanor offenses as outlined by the North Carolina Department of Justice.

Successful completion of medical examination and drug screening.

Successful completion of psychological suitability assessment by a licensed professional.

Willingness to undergo additional training as required by the government agency.

Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
