Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist for weekend night shifts, with strong neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal MRI experience required.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital MRI department supporting both inpatient and outpatient imagingCensus averages 35–40 cases daily across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populationsPerforms advanced imaging, including neuro, abdominal, musculoskeletal, and oncology casesShift is Friday through Sunday, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, on a block scheduleSpecial procedures include fusion (non-brain), gradient echo, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spectroscopy, ADC mapping, spin echo, and surface coilsUses Siemens MRI systems, PACS, and EPIC for electronic documentationResponsibilities include performing advanced MRI studies and image post-processing (e.g., ADC mapping, subtraction, MRP, and spectroscopy)Must comply with fingerprinting and credentialing processes as soon as the contract is signedReferences must be from supervisory personnel; coworker references are not acceptedLocals are accepted at the same rateFormer employees are eligible for travel assignments if separated for at least 6 monthsCurrent employees at the facility are not eligible for traveler rolesAll requests for time off must be submitted with initial applicationEducation must be from an accredited (ACEN or CCNE) programRequirements
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience requiredCurrent ARRT and BLS certifications are requiredValid Ohio State MRI license required if applicableProficiency in imaging for abdomen, pelvis, chest, brain, face / neck, hip, knee, shoulder, and full spineExperience with both ICU, outpatient, and pediatric acute care patient populationsFamiliarity with Siemens equipment and PACS systemTwo professional references are required, including at least one from a supervisor or managerBenefits
