OSP Field Service Technician | Ripple Fiber

We are looking for OSP Field Service Technicians to join our growing team in the Eastern North Carolina areas : Bailey, Camp Agape, Erwin, Nashville and Williamston.

About the role

The OSP (Outside Plant) Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Ripple Fiber equipment in accordance with customer requirements, and company standards. OSP Field Service Technicians are also responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities :

• Installation of fiber optic cables, including running cables through conduits, splicing them, and connecting them to network equipment.
• Precisely aligning and fusing the ends of fiber cables to ensure minimal signal loss and optimal performance.
• Use specialized equipment to test the integrity of fiber optic connections, check signal strength, and identify any issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades to ensure the fiber optic network continues to operate efficiently.
• Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure that fiber optic installations and repairs meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Follow safety protocols to handle fiber optic cables and related equipment properly.
