Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol in Decatur, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and / or contractors at the location, providing assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services when required.
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned by Allied Universal management.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
