- We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our Analytics team. This role will be instrumental in evaluating program performance, calculating ROI, and delivering actionable insights through advanced statistical and data science techniques. You will collaborate across clinical, client services, and product teams to support strategic decision-making and ensure data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced AnalyticsApply mathematics, statistics, and medical economics theory to analyze financial risks and predict future outcomes.Conduct control group analysis and propensity scoring to derive program insights.Perform tests of significance to validate that intervention outcomes are statistically meaningful.Use statistical and data science techniques (e.g., correlation, regression analysis) to uncover patterns and trends.Summarize key statistical metrics and provide recommendations based on data analysis.Translate business problems into diagnostic and tracking tools that support decision-making.Serve as a subject matter expert in statistical analysis, reporting, and interpretation.Data Management
Manipulate and clean complex datasets, identifying and resolving outliers.Maintain strong knowledge of data warehouse design, data definitions, and system capabilities.Understand operational processes and supporting platforms to ensure accurate data flow.Utilize SQL, R, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint to manage and analyze data efficiently.Telling the Story
Draft written summaries of analysis results for internal and external stakeholders.Present findings in table and graphic formats, including periodic and ad hoc reports.Partner with Client Services to ensure insights are effectively communicated and actionable.Collaborate with the Clinical team to develop member-level risk and compliance scores.Provide recommendations that influence program design and client strategy.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.1–3 years of experience in actuarial or healthcare analytics.Progress toward ASA or FSA designation preferred.Strong proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience in device management or healthcare delivery preferred.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.PI1b616cc9258a-30511-38810835
