Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth. Oversee procurement and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and landscaping equipment. Evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor relationships. Ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Promote a strong safety culture through regular training and site inspections. Maintain required certifications, licenses, and insurance. Bachelor's degree in business, horticulture, construction management, or a related field (preferred). 7+ years of experience in landscape operations, with 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role. Strong knowledge of landscape construction and / or maintenance practices. Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive operational efficiency. Proficient in scheduling, budgeting, CRM / job management software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, Service Autopilot). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus. Office and field-based role, with regular travel to job sites. May require early mornings, evenings, or weekend availability during peak seasons.

BBSI is overseeing the recruitment efforts for a client based in the Northern Bay Area, they are a high end Landscaping design and architecture firm looking to increase their efficiency and productivity to better service their clientele.
Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our landscaping business. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of daily operations, including project delivery, field team management, client satisfaction, financial performance, and safety compliance.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in landscape construction and / or maintenance, team leadership, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations across landscape maintenance, construction, irrigation, and enhancement divisions.
- Ensure efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and timely project completion.
- Implement and refine standard operating procedures to ensure quality, safety, and profitability.
- Directly manage project managers, field supervisors, and crew leaders.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of field and operational staff.
- Monitor performance, provide coaching, and drive accountability across all teams.
