Position : On-Call Job Coach
Classification : Non-Exempt
Reports To : Employment Services Coordinator
Schedule : On-Call / Flexible hours
Compensation : $21.53 per hour
Location : Various job sites across the community
What You'll Do
As an On-Call Job Coach, you'll support adults with disabilities-particularly those in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community-in achieving success in community employment. You'll provide hands-on job coaching, reinforce workplace skills, and support each individual's independence and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver culturally competent job coaching services in fluent ASL , tailored to Deaf clients' needs and communication preferences.
Apply a strong understanding of Deaf culture and workplace accessibility to ensure clients receive respectful, empowering support.
Assist with job tasks, workplace communication, and readiness skills such as travel training and money management.
Maintain collaborative relationships with employers to promote successful job placements and retention.
Document client progress, complete monthly billing, and submit required reports, including Special Incident Reports when needed.
Participate in team meetings, agency trainings, and other organizational activities as required.
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, treating all clients and coworkers with dignity and respect.
What You'll Bring
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required .
In-depth knowledge of Deaf culture and demonstrated cultural humility when working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients.
At least two years of experience supporting adults with disabilities, preferably in community or work-based settings.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field preferred.
Strong written documentation skills and digital fluency (Microsoft Office).
Ability to respond to urgent or unusual client circumstances with sound judgment and professionalism.
