This is a management position at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority. The Food Service / Warehouse Manager will oversee a full service food program for inmates ensuring nutritious, attractively presented meals prepared in a sanitary manner. In addition, the incumbent will maintain inventory control of all supplies for the facility. These functions will be accomplished while practicing and maintaining all security procedures consistent with a detention environment.

Position requires functioning within the security boundaries of the facility and requires daily contact with the inmate population.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Under the direction of the Administrative Lieutenant, the incumbent will oversee a full service food program including, but not limited to, the preparation of food items from an approved menu; order food and supplies; maintain budget; perform sanitary inspections.
• In addition, the incumbent will ship and receive goods and order supplies to maintain inventory level for all facility supplies.
• Prepare and maintain reports as required.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Associate degree preferred. Two years of quantity food production experience in a commercial, military or institutional setting helpful. Good math skills, attention to detail and organizational skills essential.
