Assistant Manager
Express is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team at Arden Fair Mall.
The Assistant Manager assists the Store Manager in supervising the store operations, recruiting, management, training, and sales functions, driving productivity, complying with company policies, and creating a great in-store shopping experience for our retail customers.
Key responsibilities include :
- Assisting in developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent
- Maintaining a positive work environment
- Coaching, teaching, and training Sales Associates
- Partnering with the Store Manager to identify high-performing Sales Associates
- Assisting in the hiring process for Sales Associates
- Supporting the Store Manager's analysis of the business
- Assisting in overseeing all aspects of daily store operations
- Executing action plans to optimize results
- Ensuring sales floor coverage
- Overseeing merchandise flow, including shipment, replenishment, and omnichannel operations
- Maintaining adherence to Company Policies
- Managing the execution of the store strategy to achieve performance goals
- Optimizing sales / operations opportunity
- Supporting a store's environment focused on delivering a great in-store experience
- Leading by example in creating a culture of proactive customer engagement
- Greeting and assisting all customers in a friendly manner
- Resolving customer complaints
- Acting as the customer experience leader
- Creating a positive in-store experience through visual standards
- Other essential functions may occur as directed by your supervisor
Required experience and qualifications :
Education : High School or EquivalentYears of Experience : 1-3 of relevant job experienceProficient in use of technology (iPad, registers)Demonstrates strong customer service skillsMeets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hoursMeets physical requirementsCritical skills and attributes :
