Travel Pathology Assistant - $2,533 per week in Cleveland, OH

Job Title : Pathologists Assistant Profession : Laboratory Specialty : Surgical Pathology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 8 Experience : 3 years of surgical pathology experience required License : Permanent Ohio license required Certifications : Must be certified by an accredited PA school Must-Have : Certified Pathologists Assistant from a NAACLS accredited training program Description : Performs gross description and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens for examination. Holds and transports / ships surgical specimens. Assists with the preparation of freshly removed surgical specimens for cytologic studies. Assumes responsibility for good documentation practices and maintains clear and legible records. Is delegated by the Technical Supervisor to perform high complexity laboratory testing in a compliant manner. Follows procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results. Adheres to quality control policies and documents all quality control activities, instrument, and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed. Must be nicotine-free. A negative 10-panel drug screen is required within 12 months of start and must be updated annually.
