Prime Time Healthcare is seeking a travel Medical Lab Technician for a travel job in Rockford, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift : 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type : Travel

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform moderate and high-complexity testing in areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Blood Bank
  • Validate, interpret, and release results using the hospital’s LIS (Laboratory Information System)
  • Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, quality control, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff, providers, and other lab professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic data
  • Adhere to regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission) and hospital protocols
  • Rotate across lab sections as needed and participate in weekend / holiday coverage

    • Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required
  • ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible within 6 months of hire) required
  • 1+ year of clinical lab experience preferred, but open to new grads with completed clinicals
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and patient safety
  • Familiarity with automated lab systems and LIS (Epic / Beaker or similar) is a plus
