\n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Job Details – Lubbock, TX\n \n

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1770-$1900\n

Assignment Length : 26 weeks (must continue through May 2026)\n

Start Date : November 17, 2025\n

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)\n

Hours per Week : 36\n

Setting : 30-bed Orthopedic Trauma Unit, Level II Trauma Center\n

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6\n

Floating : May float between units and sister facilities as needed\n

Weekends : As needed\n

Dress Code : Solid navy blue scrubs for RNs\n

Parking : Free employee / visitor parking available\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)\n

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Tele RN experience\n

Previous travel nursing experience required\n

Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system\n

Community hospital experience required\n

Trauma Level II experience preferred\n

BLS certification required\n

Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response / code team participation, and blood product administration\n

Skills in wound care, wound vac management, orthopedic trauma, and post-op patient management\n

Two supervisory references covering at least one year within the last three years\n

Willingness to float as needed\n

\n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n \n

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a 30-bed orthopedic trauma unit\n

Manage post-operative patients, blood administration, wound vacs, and orthopedic trauma cases\n

Perform phlebotomy, patient lifting / transfers, and pressure injury prevention\n

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response\n

Document patient care using the Epic EMR system\n

Maintain strict adherence to infection control and isolation precautions\n

Float to other nursing units or sister healthcare facilities as required\n

Participate in orientation and complete all required modules prior to start\n
