Position Overview :
We have an exciting career opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager that is willing to relocate as needed to support our federal construction initiative.
The Project Manager is responsible for recruiting, dispatching, and managing all craft employees in federal construction projects. This role involves directing and assisting Project Superintendents and General Foreman as needed to ensure profitable, safe, timely, and quality project execution. The Project Manager also assists the Regional Manager and Industrial Construction Management team (including Operations Manager, Chief Estimator, Fabrication Manager, Safety Manager, and Quality Control Manager) in coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage construction projects including renovations, design / build, design / bid / build, and ground-up, for USACE, NAVFAC, Air Force, US Coast Guard, and other federal entities.
- Ensure compliance with all hiring and wage requirements for federal jobs.
- Develop schedules, project budgets, milestones, and projections for all assigned projects.
- Monitor progress schedules and make revisions as needed to ensure the projects stay on track.
- Manage project financials including budgets, projections, and forecasts.
- Prepare project reports, financial updates, and scorecards for management and clients.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and establish clear lines of communication.
- Oversee administrative teams and field supervisors.
- Work with the Superintendent to ensure progress is being made and issues are being resolved in a timely manner.
- Provide estimating support during the bidding process.
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of project close-out reports.
- Participate in personnel evaluations and development plans.
- Conduct other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.5-7 years of construction project management experience required.5 years federal government contracting experience required.Experience with DoD construction projects.Experience with USACE projects both fixed price and cost reimbursable.CQM Certification, OSHA 30, First Aid / CPR / AED are highly desired.Strong technical skills and computer skills are necessary for success in this role.Familiar with and able to manage FAR compliance.A valid driver's license and proof of insurability is required if you are driving a company vehicle.
