Overview
GovCIO is hiring a skilled IRIS and WebEngineerto join our dynamic team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position involvesmaintainingweb applications, as well as working withInterSystemsIRIS databases. Theidealcandidate willpossessa solid understanding of various technologies including Windows, SQL, C#, Python, Object Script, and.Net. Prior experience withVistAand Fileman is highly desirable.This will be a fully remote positionlocatedwithin the United States.
Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance web applications using Windows, SQL, C#, Python, Object Script, and .NET.
Support and improve applications built on InterSystems IRIS.
Conduct data checks and uphold data integrity within the IRIS database.
Use VistA and Fileman for data manipulation and reporting tasks.
Debug and optimize Object Script code for reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
Monitor and improve application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
Promote code quality, organization, and automation practices.
Coordinate with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Proven experience in web and InterSystems IRIS engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Analytical ability to speak with customers to gather concise information on requirementproblem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently.
Clearance Required :
Preferred Skills and Experience
Proficiency in thefollowing technologies : Windows, SQL, C#, Python, Object Script, and .Net.
Experience with VistA and Fileman is highly preferred.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
