CAD Administrator

Compensation : 85K to 95K per year

Why we need you and what you will be responsible for :
With a record high backlog of boats to build, we are seeking a passionate, committed administrator for our CAD systems to help us build our amazing aluminum boats even more efficiently and successfully! This position will manage our computer-aided design (CAD) systems and product data management (PDM) vault. This role requires a technically proficient individual who can define and maintain CAD standards, provide system support, and train the Engineering Team.
What you will do :
Functional support for the enhancement, development, implementation, migration, and upgrade of CAD systems (Solid Edge, Autocad, Rhino 3D)Support users in the application of CAD software and the proper use of the CAD file management and associated workflowsProvide expert knowledge of CAD and data managementDevelop and enforce CAD standards, templates, libraries, and workflowsManage CAD / PDM Vault systemManage software licensing, version control, and updates in coordination with ITIdentify business needs and propose solutions to meet them, including analyzing solutions based on software capabilityPerform end user training and serve as a mentor and / or trainer for the staffCreate documentation and training guidelinesProvide training, support, and troubleshooting assistance to users.Develop strategies for data migration and / or integration with legacy platforms and data setsReview license usage and needs to support all usersWork with Information Systems team to plan and execute customizations to CAD / PDM vault and implement PLM and ERP integrations.Core skills / requirements we need :
Deep knowledge of parametric, solid modeling CAD systems, Solid Edge preferredStrong working knowledge of PDM vault systemsExperience with CAD to PLM and ERP integrationsStrong communication and technical skills with the ability to quickly grasp technical issues / conceptsAbility to effectively lead / facilitate teamsCreative yet practical in problem solving and decision makingStrong analytical and interpretative skillsSelf-motivated, creative and strategic thinkerEx perience & Education :
Degree or certification in Computer Science or any Engineering or related fieldTwo years of experience in CAD system implementation and administrationFive years of experience in product development using a 3D CAD system, Solid Edge preferredMust be a US Citizen due to Contract RequirementsPhysical Requirements :
