What You'll Do

Direct and coordinate nursing care, overseeing licensed and unlicensed personnel.
Involve patients, families, and health team members in care and discharge planning.
Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with healthcare team members.
Assist in defining standards of excellence for patient care and participate in quality improvement activities.
Participate in the orientation of new staff members.
Act as a point of contact for hospital policies and procedures.
Engage in daily operational activities to ensure a safe environment.
Provide input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.

What You'll Bring

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

At least two years of Labor and Delivery experience required.

Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.

BSN preferred.

AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.

AHA ACLS Provider certification required within 6 months.

NRP certification required within 6 months.
