About The Position

Job Title : Cath Lab Tech

Profession : Cath Lab Tech

Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 10

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral procedures required

License : AA / AAS Degree in a related field

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, RT or equivalent, or RCIS is required

Must-Have :

Experienced in coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral cases

Ability to perform table movement (panning)

Arrhythmia recognition and treatment skills

Critical patient assessment skills

Patient Ratio : RN : 1 : 1

Will not float to IR; IR and Cath Lab are separate departments

Scheduling includes rotating weekends every 4th weekend

On-call requirement : 1-2 days per week from 4 : 30 PM to 6 : 00 AM and every 4th weekend from 4 : 30 PM Friday to 6 : 00 AM Monday

Description :

The facility has 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral / OR.

Patients typically have coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, and valvular disease.

Procedures include diagnostic cath procedures and Impella and LVAD insertions.

Travelers must live at least 100 miles away from the facility.

Permanent staff must wait a full year to return as travelers.

Experience with critical patient care is essential.

The charge nurse is available Monday through Friday from 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

Charting is done using EPIC, with Epic Cupid preferred.

Approval for time off must go through management.

Every traveler may be expected to work holidays, potentially once per assignment.
