Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Dayton, Ohio (45409) – Ohio nursing jobs Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 26, 2026 Setting : Inpatient Cardiac Stepdown Unit Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48-hour contracts available) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910 Patient Ratios : Targeted 1 : 4, may be up to 1 : 5-6 Floating : May float to other campuses within 15 miles as needed Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Required (every other weekend / holiday) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (any state; compact nursing licenses accepted) Minimum 1.5 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care experience Proficiency with EPIC charting system BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required for travel nurse jobs) Must pass online EKG / tele competency assessment prior to start Experience with stable chronic ventilators IV start skills preferred Previous travel nursing and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) COVID-19 vaccine not required Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including those with COPD, CHF, AKI / CRF, DKA, and complex diagnoses Monitor and manage cardiac drips (no titration), ventilated patients, and telemetry Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Float to other units / campuses as needed, supporting nursing care teams Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records Participate in rapid response / code teams as needed Work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team in Dayton, Ohio and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
