Overview

This is a full-time on-site role for a Political Reporter located in Madison, WI but on air for CBS 58 in Milwaukee. The Political Reporter will be responsible for covering political events, preparing news reports, and writing political stories. The role involves attending press conferences, interviewing politicians, and staying informed on current political issues. The Political Reporter will work closely with the news team to deliver accurate and timely political news to the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports and write political stories for air and digital platforms.
  • Attend press conferences and interview politicians and public officials.
  • Stay informed on current political issues and analyze their impact for audiences.
  • Collaborate with the news team to ensure accurate and timely political coverage.

Qualifications

  • News writing and political reporting skills
  • Strong knowledge of politics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or related field
  • Experience in political reporting is a plus
