(NASDAQ : ULCC).The Long Range Maintenance Planner is responsible for the effective planning of Line Maintenance events and Special Maintenance Visits (SMV), including engine changes, aircraft modifications, and other maintenance events as directed by Maintenance Planning leadership. The Long Range Maintenance Planner reviews, develops, and modifies, as required, a long-term forecasted line maintenance plan on a sliding window basis.
Forecasting all major line maintenance events with a 6-month outlook, allowing for proper coordination of available manpower and skill set; required materials, tooling, equipment, and facilities; and span time requirements. Communicate a 30 / 60 / 90-day plan with interfacing departments while optimizing the maintenance program, leveraging the opportunities, and securing the resources in advance.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement long-term plans for scheduled line maintenance events, including A-Checks, engine changes, APU changes, repairs, modifications, borescope inspections, NDT inspections, and any other significant line maintenance taskOptimize the maintenance program utilizing the TCI and Maintenance Program intervalsLeverage all available network opportunities for planned long-term maintenance eventsPlan and schedule EOs (AD and SB driven) and FCDs issued by Engineering to achieve complianceReview and monitor MEL / NEF / CDL / ODM deferrals and assign in conjunction with driving maintenance eventCoordinate with Demand Planning Analyst for required aircraft part removals based on contractual material obligationsGenerate and authorize work packages in FMIS from the established planReview, plan, and coordinate the sequencing and allocation of resources for each planned maintenance eventConduct coordination meetings to review the upcoming resource requirements for the 30 / 60 / 90-day planClearly communicate and coordinate plans with the following departments, as needed : Line Maintenance, Field Maintenance Representatives, Inspection, Engineering, Materials and Purchasing, Maintenance Control, Maintenance Programs, Aircraft Routers, System Operation Control (SOC), Heavy Maintenance, and Maintenance PlanningEstablish and ensure ownership from each interfacing departmentIn response to changes in aircraft routing, adjust and develop contingency plans to capture displaced or delayed maintenance eventsContinuously evaluate and modify, as required, all planned maintenance events to be accomplished by both Frontier Airlines' maintenance personnel and / or approved maintenance providersPerform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Line Maintenance PlanningQualifications
Required Three years aircraft heavy and / or line maintenance experienceRequired FAA Airframe & Powerplant license and / or military experienceRequired Two years maintenance planning and / or production control experiencePreferred Two years supervisory experiencePreferred Bachelor's Degree in an aviation focus or related studyPreferred Familiarity with TRAX or other maintenance information systemKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
