Assistant Store Manager

NSC-New Bern Family Store - NEW BERN, NC

Schedule / Hours : 8 : 30am - 5pm Monday through Saturday, Up to 40 hours per week as needed by Store.

This position is responsible for :

• Supervises and participates in the day-to-day operations of the Store and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Oversees the recruiting, training, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and supervision of all store employees.
• Ensures the accountability and security of cashier funds.
• Maintains the neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise; ensures that displays remain well-stocked.

Education and Experience :

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions : Ability to perform frequent walking and / or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle. Work is performed in a stock-room, warehouse, or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in whether; there are occasional discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors and the like. Work requires the ability to lift and carry and / or push / pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work may require frequent travel.
