Salary : $145,000 - $175,000 / year
Work location : Hybrid, primarily remote with ad hoc on-site work, frequency TBD.

Duties and responsibilities include :
Design, install, maintain, and support Enterprise IT systems with an emphasis on security infrastructure.Implement and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, incorporating data pipeline configurations.Provide technical guidance on cloud security operations, including AWS, Azure, and O365.Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and CDM.Develop automation scripts using Python to improve security operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors in managing IT infrastructure and security systems.Requirements :
Over 10 years of experience in IT system design and support.Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior engineer level or higher.At least 3 years of specific experience with cybersecurity tools and SIEM systems.Experience with a hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and cloud) environment.Possess verbal and written communication skills in explaining complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as executive-level reporting.Experience with cloud security concepts, services, and operations (AWS, Azure, O365) including migration and security hardening.Experience with core virtualization technologies.Experience with DevSecOps practices including secure code and automation is incorporated into the build, test, and deployment process for security operations.Possess strong scripting skills, particularly in Python, for automation and tool development.Experience in managing a variety of enterprise cybersecurity tools including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms across a hybrid environment.Experience on-boarding and normalizing data including configuring and integrating data pipeline solutions with SIEM platforms.Hands-on experience with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST, CDM).Possess strong background in infrastructure management : Windows / Linux servers, patching, vulnerability remediation, network appliances, and endpoint security.Possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying and addressing security issues and root causes.Experience working with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.Familiarity with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks.Strong scripting capabilities in Python.Desired Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.Advanced certifications such as CISSP or CEH.Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline.Clearance Requirement : Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
