Safety Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programs. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees while minimizing risks and hazards.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
• Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
• Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance metrics for management review.
• Provide training development for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, CPR, first aid, and occupational health practices.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness through effective communication and training initiatives.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and facilitate return-to-work programs for injured employees.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes related to environmental protection agency (EPA) standards and other relevant legislation.
• Weekly travel to various job sites throughout the state of Louisiana.
